EPS Steering ‌, or Electric Power Steering, is a power steering system that relies on a motor to provide auxiliary torque. EPS has many advantages over traditional hydraulic power steering systems (HPS). EPS system is mainly composed of torque sensor, speed sensor, motor, deceleration mechanism and electronic control unit (ECU).

CEPS is an advanced configuration in the automotive EPS system, which stands for the connected electronic power steering system in the vehicle.
